Venue Hire
Riddells Creek Neighbourhood House is the old Riddells Creek Primary School’s headmaster’s residence. It has had a modern extension allowing us to offer a variety of spaces for hire to community and commercial groups. We have 4 main rooms, 2 kitchens, a large garden and a spacious front foyer which contains notice boards that display house and community activities. Most room hires include access to the kitchen, garden and foyer.
Meeting Room ONE (Conference Room)
One hour: $44 ($22 for non-profits) inc. GST
Half day/evening: $77 ($38.50 for non-profits) inc. GST
Full day: $110 ($55 for non-profits) inc. GST
This room, also referred to as the conference room, is generally used for meetings, so it is set up with 1 large board table. There is a white board available if needed as well as projectors and presentations can be projected onto a plain white wall at one end of the table.
Capacity: 6-8 pax.
Meeting Room TWO (Mahjong Room)
One hour: $55 ($27.50 for non-profits) inc. GST
Half day/evening: $110 ($55 for non-profits) inc. GST
Full day: $220 ($110 for non-profits) inc. GST
This room, sometimes referred to as our Mahjong Room, is in the old part of the building and has a lovely ‘cosy’ feel. It can be set up for meetings, social games groups or even to be utilised as a hot desk co-working space and more. Easy to move tables and chairs make it an adaptable space that can be set up and changed for individual needs.
Capacity: 8-12 pax.
Meeting Room THREE (Sitting Room)
One hour: $33 ($16.50 for non-profits) inc. GST
Half day/evening: $55 ($27.50 for non-profits) inc. GST
Full day: $88 ($44 for non-profits) inc. GST
Affectionately referred to as the Sitting Room, this room is furnished with a couch and comfortable armchairs, available for use by individuals and small groups who need like a relaxed and informal environment.
Capacity: 4-6 pax.
Multi-Purpose Room
One hour: $55 ($27.50 for non-profits) inc. GST
Half day/evening: $110 ($55 for non-profits) inc. GST
Full day: $220 ($110 for non-profits) inc. GST
This is a large, bright and sunny room with glass doors that open onto our beautiful garden. Often used for exercise classes, larger meetings and gatherings, the room has its own heating and cooling system to moderate the temperature to suit each user group. The multi-purpose room features an electronic ceiling mounted projection screen and a large white board.
Capacity: 12-20 pax.
Community Garden
One hour: $33 ($16.50 for non-profits) inc. GST
Half day/evening: $55 ($27.50 for non-profits) inc. GST
Full day: $88 ($44 for non-profits) inc. GST
Our beautiful garden can be hired for gatherings and outdoor events. Garden space includes access to the front and East side of the yard. Please note, even when the garden is being used by a group, public access is still required from the front gate to the building and west side of the path (for access to the recycling station, the community pantry, and the main building). BBQ facilities, chairs, tables and portable heaters are also available for use/hire.
Capacity: 20-100 pax.
Community Shed
One hour: $55 ($27.50 for non-profits) inc. GST
Half day/evening: $110 ($55 for non-profits) inc. GST
Full day: $220 ($110 for non-profits) inc. GST
Shed space with cleared central area that can be set up with plastic chairs foldaway tables and includes a toilet and kitchenette space.
Capacity: Comfortably accommodates 20 pax.
